And the data doesn’t lie; there is a pattern in the rise and fall of temperatures. And while it is cool to see, its not surprising. Temperatures really depend on the placement of the jet stream. If the jet stream lies to our north, we see southerly winds and warmer temperatures. If the jet stream digs southward, we see below normal temperatures. Right now, the jet stream is in a phase of digging towards the south during the start of the week so that by midweek, temperatures fall. Then it lifts to give us warm temperatures for the weekend. And we will stay in this pattern for the next week as well. We have below average temperatures to round out the workweek, then warmer temperatures in store for the weekend.
